meet our founder,

spencer moore

Spencer Moore grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and for the past ten years has called Barcelona, Spain home.

She created The Hairy Chin as part of a mission to make self-advocacy simpler for women’s helath and wellness.

At 16 years old, Spencer began finding chin hairs, a side effect of her Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. She continued struggling with chronic health conditions and at 40, was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer after her first mammogram.

It was then that she then felt a calling to turn her experiences into purpose. For her, The Hairy Chin is a tangible representation of her deepest belief - that women deserve the knowledge, confidence, and language to advocate for their own health and well-being.
